Your new company As Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining strong financial controls.
You will be responsible for supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
Your new role Accounts Payable Managing supplier invoice processing and resolving supplier queries.
Completing supplier statement reconciliations.
Maintaining supplier records and processing new supplier account requests.
Managing supplier bank detail amendments in line with internal controls.
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Preparing and issuing customer sales invoices.
Completing month-end sales reconciliations and analysis.
Monitoring customer accounts and escalating payment concerns where necessary.
Payroll Support Assisting with the accurate processing of monthly payroll.
Supporting payroll review activities and investigating discrepancies.
Ensuring payroll data is accurate and processed within required deadlines.
General Ledger & Reporting Preparing and posting journals and account reconciliations.
Assisting with external audit requirements and providing supporting documentation.
What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer, Accounts Supervisor or Senior Finance Administrator role.
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger processes.
Experience supporting payroll administration and payroll reviews.
Experience completing reconciliations and assisting with month-end reporting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups and data analysis.
