Your new company is recognised as one of Northern Ireland's leading & most accredited building and civil engineering contractors who, due to recent contract awards across a major water framework, are now seeking a Site Engineer to join their award-winning team. Having been established for over 70 years, the company has built a reputation for successfully delivering on an extensive portfolio of major, £multi-million projects across the UK & Ireland in all aspects of construction, specialising in the education, residential, healthcare & hospitality sectors. Having recently secured multiple projects for the ongoing water infrastructure upgrades, this role will provide a Site Engineer with a strong placement year, or any Site Engineers with 1-3 years' experience in civils works, with a great chance to join a reputable Northern Irish Contractor.
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of engineering on this major Water framework with sites across Northern Ireland. Duties will include:
- Document control
- Taking levels
- Setting out
- Supervising direct and indirect labour
- Quality control
- Toolbox talks
- Ensuring Health & Safety is maintained
You will be organised, enthusiastic and keen to progress through support of other Engineers on site.
In order to be successful, you should be a highly motivated individual who is keen to further develop your career within the civils industry. You should be capable of reading & potentially amending designs and be confident in using setting out and surveying equipment such as a Totalstation and GPS. A degree or equivalent in a construction or civil engineering degree discipline is essential. A background in civil engineering or utilities schemes is preferable. Due to the location of the projects NI wide, you must be flexible to travel.
