Your new company is a well-established and growing organisation based in the Antrim area seeking a recently qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team. Your new role involves reporting to the Head of Finance, taking responsibility for the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring robust financial control and delivering accurate and timely reporting. You will play a key role in group reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, while supporting senior leadership with valuable financial insights.
Key duties will include:
- Weekly sales reporting and forecasting
- Preparation of management accounts for multiple entities within strict deadlines
- Balance sheet reviews and identification of financial risks
- Managing banking processes and ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
- Overseeing statutory returns including VAT (UK & ROI), PAYE, and other submissions
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Driving continuous improvement in reporting, KPIs, and financial processes
- Working closely with credit control to enhance policies and improve operational efficiencies
You will also have responsibility for managing and developing a small team, ensuring high performance and a strong culture of compliance within the finance function.
To be considered, you should be a recently qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA accountant with strong technical ability and a proactive approach. You will also demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a management accounting role
- Ideally, some experience managing or supervising staff
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive efficiencies
- Experience with accounting systems such as Sage or SAP (desirable)
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic
In return, you will receive a competitive salary in the range of £45,000 - £55,000, an annual bonus scheme (up to 10%), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with additional birthday leave, a holiday purchase scheme, pension contribution, free on-site parking, and a supportive and collaborative team environment with strong career development opportunities.
