Your new company is a leading MEP consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable and energy-efficient building services solutions. They are seeking a Junior Sustainability Engineer to join its growing team in Antrim.
Your new role is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Engineer to develop a career in building sustainability and energy engineering while working on a diverse range of commercial, residential, education and healthcare projects. Working closely with experienced sustainability professionals, you will develop your skills in energy modelling, building performance analysis and sustainable building design. You'll gain exposure to both new-build and refurbishment projects while supporting the delivery of low-carbon and net zero solutions.
- Assisting with domestic and non-domestic energy assessments and EPCs
- Supporting dynamic thermal modelling and building performance simulations
- Contributing to net zero carbon and passive design strategies
- Assisting with daylight and sunlight assessments
- Supporting whole life carbon assessments
- Working on BREEAM and LEED accreditation projects
- Attending client meetings and undertaking site inspections when required
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across a range of sectors
You will receive structured training and mentoring, with clear opportunities to progress into a project leadership role as your experience develops.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Degree qualified in Energy Engineering, Sustainability, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Knowledge of Part L and Part F Building Regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD software
- A genuine interest in sustainable building design and energy performance
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
