Your new company HAYS Architecture & Design are working with a multi-award-winning, employee-owned architectural practice that is recognised for creating thoughtful, socially responsible spaces and places that genuinely improve lives. With a strong studio culture and a collaborative, integrated approach to design, this organisation brings together Architects, Landscape Architects, Masterplanners and Interior Designers across the UK and Ireland. Their landscape team continues to grow in response to a strong and diverse pipeline of work, particularly across education, healthcare and public realm projects of varying scale and complexity.
Your new role This opportunity is for a Senior Landscape Architect to take on a clear project-lead role within the landscape team, working across Ireland from either the Dublin or Belfast studio. You will lead projects through all key stages, working closely with clients and wider multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, design-led outcomes. The role will involve overseeing landscape design from concept through delivery, coordinating inputs across disciplines, and contributing to the continued development of the studio's landscape capability. You will also play an active role in mentoring and supporting colleagues, helping to maintain a positive, inclusive and collaborative studio culture.
What you'll need to succeed You will be a chartered Landscape Architect (ILI or CMLI) with proven experience operating in a project-leader capacity within a consultancy or architectural practice environment. A background working on education sector projects is essential for this role, particularly experience delivering work within Ireland. Hand-on experience of working on Department of Education projects in the Republic of Ireland will be viewed positively, as will a working knowledge of the Irish planning system. You will hold a degree or master's qualification in Landscape Architecture and be confident leading teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and supporting others through project delivery and chartership. Experience in applying current health and safety legislation within design and delivery will also be important.
What you'll get in return In return, you'll join a well-established, design-led practice with a strong reputation for delivering award-winning work across education, healthcare and civic projects. You'll benefit from a supportive studio environment, meaningful project leadership responsibility, and genuine opportunities for long-term professional development. The role offers flexibility in base location between Dublin and Belfast, alongside a competitive salary package and the benefits associated with an employee-owned business.
