We are looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Year 6 class for a large and welcoming primary school in Trafford. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team and play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential during this important stage of their primary education.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within Year 6, with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, SATs preparation, and the delivery of targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to raise attainment in English and Mathematics.
- Deliver targeted intervention programmes to support pupils working below age-related expectations.
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs to ensure they can access the curriculum.
- Contribute positively to pupil wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement.
- Assist with SATs preparation.
