Accountant in Wrexham

Your new company One of Wrexham\’s premium employers that is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation. This is a newly created temporary to permanent accountant job, specialising in fixed assets. Your new role Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a small team, duties will include: Ensure that all company financial transactions, assets and liabilities are accurately recorded and properly accounted for. In particular, monitor and assess treatment of intangible assets, to ensure compliance with respective policies. Keep constantly up to date with the latest developments in accounting standards and guidelines Own monthly processes and month-end close of the financial ledgers for respective company(s) or area of responsibility Primary responsibility for journal preparation for all routine accruals/prepayments and other financial entries and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation. Perform SAP month-end closing activities (period-close, revaluations, fixed asset additions and disposals, etc.) in the area of responsibility Complete and comment on the periodic Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliations What you\’ll need to succeed Accountant with previous fixed assets experience. You\’ll be available to start immediately, or at short notice. What you\’ll get in return Initial 6-month temporary contract with the expectation the job will turn permanent at the end of that period. Hybrid working.
