Your New Role
/n Hays Specialist Recruitment are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician (Level 3) to join a secure site maintenance team at HMP Leyhill near Bristol.
/n
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large commercial and operational environment, carrying out a mixture of planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and installation work across a diverse property estate. The role offers long-term stability, varied work and the chance to play a key role in maintaining essential services within a secure environment.
/n
Key Responsibilities
/n
Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
/n Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
/n Complete installations, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
/n Ensure all work is carried out in line with current regulations and health & safety standards.
/n Complete inspection, testing and maintenance records accurately.
/n Support maintenance projects and minor works.
/n Escort and supervise contractors when required.
/n Maintain compliance with site security procedures and operational requirements.
/n Contribute to excellent service delivery across the estate.
/n
What You'll Need
/n
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
/n 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
/n Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
/n Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
/n Good understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
/n Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
/n Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
/n
Due to the nature of the site, successful applicants will be required to undergo security vetting before commencing employment. All applicants must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the UK.
/n
