Due to a sustained workload across residential and commercial matters, the team is looking for a capable conveyancer who can manage cases confidently and independently. The organisation specialises in purchasing and managing businesses holding residential and commercial property assets, and is structured in a way that offers the benefits of an internal role combined with the structure of a traditional law firm environment.
You will be responsible for overseeing a broad caseload of property transactions from initial instruction through to completion. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position requiring strong technical skills, good judgement, and the ability to remain organised under pressure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing residential and commercial conveyancing transactions
- Completing title reviews, property searches, and wider due diligence
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, leases, and supporting documentation
- Supporting senior lawyers and team members
- Handling all post-completion actions, including registrations, SDLT filings, and requisitions
You will be a UK-qualified solicitor with a solid background in property law, covering both residential and commercial transactions (3+ years' PQE as a guideline). You must have experience managing a busy caseload and be confident in delivering work with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong drafting ability, good communication skills, and familiarity with case management systems are essential. Candidates should be comfortable working independently.
A competitive day rate, an immediate start in an ongoing locum position, potential for the role to become permanent, exposure to a varied and high-volume caseload, and the opportunity to work within a supportive and professional legal environment are offered.
