The business is continuing to grow and offers a collaborative, high-performing Group Tax function with strong exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-border operations.
Your new role as Indirect Tax Manager - UK Europe involves taking ownership of UK VAT compliance while overseeing European VAT obligations across multiple jurisdictions. You will review and manage end-to-end VAT processes, ensure timely and accurate filings, and act as a key technical adviser on complex transactions including joint operations and cross-border projects. You will maintain strong relationships with HMRC and other tax authorities, support governance and SAO requirements, and drive improvements in VAT processes. Alongside compliance, you will provide clear, commercially focused VAT advice to the business, liaise with external advisers, and support wider indirect tax matters across the region.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Qualified tax professional (e.g. ACA/CTA or equivalent) with strong VAT expertise
- Extensive experience managing UK VAT compliance and advising on complex transactions
- Exposure to European indirect tax regimes (e.g. Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland)
- Strong technical knowledge of VAT on cross-border supplies and joint operations
- Proven ability to engage with tax authorities and manage external advisers
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate technical tax into practical advice
- Experience improving processes and maintaining robust governance frameworks
