Hays Education are working with a specialist school in Rugby to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant Learning Mentor to join their team from September. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience supporting learners with additional needs who are passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential.

Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will provide tailored support to pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.

Your New Role

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting students to access learning and engage in lessons
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Supporting communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing
  • Following individual support plans and behaviour strategies
  • Providing personal care where required

About You

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Experience within SEN schools, care settings, residential services, or similar support environments
