Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full Academic Year (Supply)

Hours: Full-Time, 5 Days per Week

Hays Education are currently working in partnership with a highly regarded primary school in East Birmingham to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils in either Year 5 or Year 6 from September until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the curriculum, provide targeted interventions where required, and help maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement within the classroom.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 2
  • Experience supporting pupils in Year 5 and/or Year 6 is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and positive approach to supporting children's learning
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils develop academically and socially
