Your new school Your new Head Teacher based within a South Gloucestershire primary is now searching for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team until the end of the academic year with the potential of continuing until the end of the academic year for the right candidate. This inclusive school has an excellent SEND team with proven success of providing support to all students with specific educational needs. Your new role As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be working with a year 1 student on a 1:1 basis with Autism. You will continue the use of effective communication methods, including visual aids devised by the previous Teaching Assistant that have enabled successful engagement within lessons. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the child through learning, with social development and encouraging positive behaviour. What you\’ll need to succeed You must have recent relevant experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a school.
