Your new organisation: We are working with a forward-thinking local authority in South Wales that is investing heavily in its data capabilities to drive better decision-making and service delivery. Due to increased demand across its data function, the council requires an experienced Data Engineering contractor to support the development of scalable data models, reporting solutions, and overall data infrastructure. The environment is collaborative and delivery-focused, with a strong emphasis on transforming data into meaningful insights through modern BI tools and best-practice data modelling.
Your new role: This is a hands-on Data Engineering role, ideal for a contractor with strong Power BI and data modelling expertise. You will be responsible for designing and developing robust data models, enabling accurate and efficient reporting across the organisation. A key part of the role will involve building and optimising Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver actionable insights. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure data is structured effectively to support reporting and analytics.
