An Ofsted Good Special Needs School for complex disabilities in South Birmingham is looking for an experienced Strategic Business Manager. The role is a full-time role, 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday term time only. This is a long-term role with potential permanent opportunities for the right candidate.
Your new role
The school is a large SEN school with 3 sites and over 300 pupils and manages all processes in-house. This is a pivotal, strategic role for the school with 5 direct reports in Site, HR, Finance, Compliance, IT and contracts.
The role will entail:
- Providing strategic leadership for finance, operations, and overall school performance as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Lead and oversee Finance, IT, Estates, HR, risk, legal, compliance, and major contracts.
- Develop and manage long-term financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, and income generation to ensure sustainability, handling a budget over £9 million.
- Drive operational efficiency, value for money, and effective procurement, including capital projects and contract management.
- Ensure robust governance, including risk management, safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and policy frameworks.
- Lead digital, data, and estates strategies to support school growth, infrastructure, and performance improvement.
