Stores OperativeLocation: HMP Swaleside, Isle of SheppeyHourly Rate £14.52 per hour Basic Temporary contract for minimum of 6 monthsFull-Time, 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Your new companyHays Specialist Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with Gov Facilities Services Ltd (GFSL), a Ministry of Justice business delivering essential maintenance services across the prison estate. GFSL plays a critical role in ensuring prisons are safe, secure, and well-maintained, supporting rehabilitation and reintegration.Your new roleAs a Stores Operative at HMP Swaleside, you'll be part of a dedicated facilities team responsible for managing tools, materials, and equipment across the site. You'll work closely with skilled trades people including electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, ensuring the smooth operation of the prison's maintenance services. This is a vital role in a unique environment, where your organisational skills will directly contribute to the safety and wellbeing of staff, prisoners, and the wider community.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:
