The predicted salary is between 31 - 33 € per hour.

A Homeless Support Officer is needed ASAP at a rate of £15-£16 per hour for a full-time position (37 hours per week). An enhanced DBS is required, and the role involves a rolling 6-week rota with lone working.

Your new company will be a dedicated Housing Association providing safe, stable accommodation and personalised support to individuals experiencing homelessness. The service operates across a single scheme made up of HMO units and self-contained flats, offering both on-site and off-site support.

You will be part of a tight, resilient team of five (usually six) who work collaboratively to manage risk, respond to crisis situations, and help residents move towards independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lone working across the scheme and the community
  • Managing crisis situations and escalating risks appropriately
  • Supporting residents with tenancy sustainment, budgeting, wellbeing, and life skills
  • Completing welfare checks, safety checks, and accurate case notes
  • Working with partner agencies to secure positive outcomes
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and promoting independence

The rota pattern (6-week rolling) is as follows:

  • Weeks 1-5: 8am-4pm, 2pm-10pm
  • Week 6 (1 in 6 weekends): Mon-Fri: 10am-5:30pm (Thursday = rest day), Sat & Sun: 9am-7pm

What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally within homelessness, supported housing, or community-based services
  • Confidence with lone working, crisis response, and risk management
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with residents
  • A resilient, calm, and solution-focused approach
  • Ability to work as part of a rota-based team
  • Enhanced DBS
