A well-established, privately owned group with a strong reputation in its sector is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. As part of its ongoing development, the business is creating a new Head of Finance position to provide greater financial leadership, insight and control across the group. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a rare opportunity to shape the finance function and play a key role in the future direction of the business.
Your new role
As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the entire finance function across a multi-entity group, leading a small finance team whilst partnering closely with operational stakeholders and the senior leadership team. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the finance function across multiple entities.
- Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and board reporting.
- Building robust forecasting, budgeting and cashflow management processes.
- Enhancing financial controls, systems and reporting frameworks.
- Providing commercial insight to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
- Managing statutory reporting, audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting.
- Acting as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and wider leadership team.
What you'll need to succeed
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Previous experience leading a finance function within an SME or multi-company group environment.
- Proven ability to build management reporting, forecasting and financial controls from the ground up.
- Strong multi-entity accounting experience.
- A hands-on and commercially minded approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ambition to grow with the business and help shape its future direction.
