Southampton | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Competitive Salary + Benefits Hays are recruiting for a Finance Project Coordinator to join a growing organisation in Southampton on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This exciting opportunity has arisen due to the commencement of a large-scale project, and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial management and administration of the project.
The Role Working closely with the Project Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for processing high volumes of supplier invoices across multiple currencies, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained and supporting the reconciliation of supplier costs against client payments.
This is a detail-focused position requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities Process and import high volumes of supplier invoices into the finance system.
Verify invoice accuracy against contracts and supplier agreements.
Ensure correct coding and currency conversion of invoices.
Act as a key point of contact for supplier payment and invoicing queries.
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Reconcile supplier invoices against project-related client payments.
Maintain accurate records of outstanding invoices and unmatched payments.
Produce weekly reports comparing project spend against client receipts.
What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum of two years' relevant finance experience.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Effective communication skills with the confidence to liaise with suppliers, finance teams and project stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Previous experience using Sage 50 would be advantageous.
What's on Offer Competitive salary, dependent on experience. 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 5:30pm.
Hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. 12-month fixed-term contract.
