Your new company Hays are recruiting on behalf of Birmingham City Council for Qualified Social Workers based in Birmingham QE Hospital. Your new role As a qualified social worker, you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, successfully manage a complex caseload, have experience in keeping and maintaining accurate records, making sure any assessment statuses, admissions and discharges are captured correctly and initial assessments. You will have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable picking up new and existing cases, in particular safeguarding and mental capacity assessments. It is imperative that you have an in-depth understanding and be able to manage any challenges with appropriate methods which will vary from case to case. What you\’ll need to succeed To be successful, you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent) and have direct experience of delivering social work to adult service users is essential. You must also have knowledge of key legislation underpinning Social Work.
