I'm currently looking for an IP Test Engineer to support a key UK telecoms company working on complex mobile and fixed network changes within a large IP test environment. This role is pure testing - not design and not network operations. You'll be validating IP network changes in a dedicated testbed to ensure risks are identified and resolved before anything reaches the live network.
- You'll be testing IP and transport network changes in a controlled testbed environment.
- You'll work with simulated traffic using specialist IP test tools to validate performance, resilience and failure scenarios.
- You'll liaise with engineering teams, vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- You'll help ensure only compliant, fully tested changes progress into the live network.
You have strong hands-on IP testing experience (not design). You're confident working with IP protocols and MPLS networks. You're comfortable working 5 days per week onsite in Slough. You're open to a very occasional night work (typically 2-3 times per year).
