We are seeking a committed, skilled and proactive Site Supervisor to join the team at a Secondary School in Bolton on a permanent basis. This role is essential in ensuring that the school site remains a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff and visitors. The Site Supervisor will oversee day-to-day site operations, carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs, manage contractors, support cleaning teams, and ensure compliance with statutory health and safety and building regulations.

Location: Bolton, BL3

Salary: £25,583 - £27,254 dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent - Full-time, All-Year-Round

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Monday to Thursday 6.30am - 3pm, Friday 6.30am - 11.30am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school site, buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained.
  • Carry out daily maintenance, minor repairs, DIY tasks and pre-planned maintenance.
  • Monitor major works during school holidays and manage contractors on site.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and site supplies; ensure regular inspection and safe use.
  • Oversee cleaning standards and supervise cleaning staff and SMSAs.
  • Open and close the school site, ensuring all buildings are secure.
  • Manage alarms, CCTV checks and respond to emergencies.
