The Opportunity Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware estimator with a strong background in mechanical building services and MEP projects.
You will play a key role in preparing, managing, and submitting competitive tenders for a variety of mechanical and MEP projects, whilst identifying value engineering opportunities and mitigating commercial risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost plans and tender submissions.
- Quantify labour, materials, plant, specialist equipment, and subcontract packages.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities within tender documents.
- Develop value engineering solutions to improve project viability and competitiveness.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners throughout the tender process.
- Support project handovers to operational teams following successful tender awards.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the construction, engineering, or MEP contractor sector.
