An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified finance professional to join a growing public sector organisation delivering major transport, infrastructure and economic development programmes across the region. Working closely with senior leaders and budget holders, you will provide high-quality financial support, challenge and insight to help shape strategic decision-making and ensure effective use of public funds.

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across transport and infrastructure portfolios.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning processes.
  • Deliver robust financial reporting, analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Support the development of business cases, investment proposals and funding submissions.
  • Provide financial modelling and appraisal for capital projects and programmes.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, recommending appropriate actions.
  • Promote strong governance, financial control and value-for-money principles.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and reporting.

CCAB/CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent). Proven Finance Business Partnering experience within a complex organisation. Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning expertise. Experience supporting capital programmes, large-scale projects or infrastructure investment. Public sector or local government experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
