Your new company is a well-established environmental consultancy with 80 - 90 specialist staff in Ecology, Arboriculture, GIS, and Climate change. They have multiple hubs across the country but are open to Ecologists across the UK as they have significant work nationwide. They are looking for candidates of varying levels from Consultant to Principal. They are an Employee-Owned trust in which employees have a stake in the business and receive an annual bonus. Their training is excellent, as they have exceptional equipment and facilities and allow their staff to shadow selected surveys to gain more experience in a desired area.
Your new role will contribute to the running of a successful and established consultancy. They are open to staff across varying offices including Guildford, Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester, and Ipswich (working on a hybrid basis).
Main duties could include:
- Manage a range of aquatic ecology projects
- Lead aquatic ecology surveys
- Technical report writing
- Mentor junior staff
- Co-ordinate field surveys / site work
- Maintain relationships with internal teams, external subcontractors, and suppliers
What you’ll need to succeed:
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or relevant subject
- Proven previous experience as an Aquatic Ecologist
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines
