A Crosby-based primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team for the next academic year. This job is based in Year 4.
This is a full-time Teaching Assistant job, working 5 days a week, Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30 (term time only).
Duties will include:
- Supporting the class teacher in the classroom by preparing resources and teaching materials
- Ensuring that the children in the class have access to the curriculum
- Supporting pupils with SEND, including preparing individual resources for pupils who need them
- Working closely with the class teacher, planning lessons and activities and assessing progress to create a positive working and learning environment in the classroom
- Supporting on a small group basis in and outside the classroom when required
The successful candidate will have had previous experience working with children in the primary age range, particularly in Key Stage 2. Previous experience working with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties would also be an advantage. You will be able to work on your own initiative without supervision and be able to differentiate work depending on the ability of individuals in your group.
Ideally, the school would like to appoint someone with a Teaching Assistant qualification, but candidates with recent classroom-based experience will also be considered.
