Your new school Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Dudley/Oldbury area, committed to supporting all pupils to achieve their full potential. The school has a strong focus on high-quality SEND provision, inclusive practice and staff development. This is a one-year contract (temporary or contract), starting in September.
They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant SENCo to support the leadership and delivery of SEND provision across the school. You will work closely with the Deputy Head (Inclusion/SENCo) to ensure high-quality teaching, effective interventions and positive outcomes for pupils with SEND, including those with SEMH and pastoral needs.
Key responsibilities include:- Supporting the strategic and day-to-day management of SEND provision
- Leading and delivering targeted interventions and monitoring pupil progress
- Supporting teachers and staff to implement effective inclusive practice
- Assisting with EHCPs, learning plans and the school provision map
- Working collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Providing direct support to pupils, including those with SEMH and additional needs
