An established specialist school in Worthing is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join its secondary-phase team from September 2026. Your new role:

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and behaviour specialists to support students aged 11-16.
  • Provide individualised learning support, including communication-focused interventions and sensory-aware classroom practice.
  • Assist with personalised timetables, small-group learning, and community-based activities.
  • Contribute to a calm, predictable environment that prioritises emotional regulation and positive relationships.
  • Help students access learning through visual scaffolding, sensory-friendly approaches, and communication-support strategies.
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to build confidence, independence, and emotional regulation.
