Your new company Hays Education works closely with many schools across the South Birmingham area, providing teaching assistant support on a day-to-day and long-term basis. There is currently a high demand for SEN Teaching Assistants and jobs are available on a temporary and permanent basis. Working with Hays on a supply basis means that you can work the hours that suit you and your work/life balance.

Hays are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to start immediately in the B15 area. These jobs are available on a part-time and long-term basis, which means you could be working from one term up to the whole academic year. Ideally, you will be available full-time. However, part-time options are also available.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work with children of specific age groups on a 1:1 or small group basis.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You must have SEN experience within a childcare environment, including schools, nurseries and social care settings.
  • Ideally, you will have worked with children that are diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Global Delay and those that present challenging behaviours.
  • You must be flexible and should you be successful in securing an SEN TA job, you will be committed to supporting the child for the length of time required.
