Hays are working with a Primary School in Heaton Chapel who are seeking a professional and organised Finance Administrator to join their busy school office team on a temporary (potentially temp to perm) basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced school environment and providing excellent support to pupils, staff and parents.
As a Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the school's financial operations. You will work closely with the School Business Manager and leadership team to maintain accurate financial records and support budgeting processes.
Location: Heaton Chapel, SK4
Hours: Part-time, term time only
Contract: Temporary for 2 months, potential to extend into a long-term role
Start Date: ASAP
What You'll Be Doing:
- Process orders, invoices, and payments in line with school procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts
- Assist with budget monitoring and reporting
- Manage petty cash and school income, including trips and dinners
- Liaise with suppliers, staff, and external agencies
- Support financial audits and ensure compliance with policies
- Use school finance systems (SIMS FMS)
