Your new role involves becoming a key member of the Contentious Trust & Probate team, working across a broad and stimulating caseload that spans the full spectrum of trust and estate disputes. This includes:
- I(PFD)A 1975 claims
- Challenges to the validity of wills
- Construction and rectification claims
- Court of Protection disputes
- Executor and trustee disputes
- Proprietary estoppel claims
- Claims relating to lifetime gifts and international estate issues
You will manage your own matters while contributing to larger, complex cases, ensuring exceptional client service and commercially effective delivery. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills, support colleagues, and play an active role in the continued growth of this highly regarded team. For the right candidate, there is a clear pathway to partnership.
What you’ll need to succeed: You will be a qualified Solicitor with a strong litigation background and experience in contentious trust and probate work, as well as excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. You will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high‑performing team, whilst displaying strong legal research skills and proficiency with case management systems and MS applications. You will take a proactive, organised and methodical approach to managing your workload that shows alignment with the firm’s values of positivity, respect, communication and professionalism.
