Your new company This service is part of a national company that provides supported living care for adults and the elderly. This service is based in the heart of Birmingham and is made up of 37 self-contained units for adults over 55 years of age. Your new role This role is initially a 3-month temporary position. However, there is a permanent vacancy so, if suitable, they would look to take you on as a permanent member of staff at the end of the 3 months. This role will involve managing the day-to-day running of the service alongside the on-site Service Manager, ensuring CQC standards are upheld and ensuring the best levels of care for service users. As part of this role, you will be responsible for the management of the 20 employees of the service. The role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. There will be flexibility within the hours you work dependent as long as you are on site between the core hours of 10am and 4pm. What you\’ll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need at least 2 years\’ experience of managing a similar service and have been a Registered Care Manager for at least 2 years. You will also need to have already achieved your Level 5 qualification in either Domiciliary Care or Extra Care. An enhanced DBS is also required for this role, so you will preferably already have one on the update service or will be in the position to apply for one as soon as possible.
