An excellent practitioner is required to teach in this 'good' school. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated teacher who will teach in the Raise Room. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about inclusion, with the ability to lead and inspire colleagues to meet the diverse needs of our learners.
The Raise Room is a highly nurturing, inclusive environment designed to meet the needs of up to 15 primary aged children with SEND, with a ratio of 1:5. Children benefit from small group teaching, targeted interventions and access to specialist strategies that promote communication, independence, emotional regulation and confidence. Our provision is a place where children feel safe, understood and celebrated. It is a vibrant example of our school's belief that, with the right support, every child can flourish and make meaningful progress.
About Us: A thriving primary school in BD3 in Bradford, we have a strong ethos of inclusion, respect, and excellence. We have over 700 pupils on roll, from diverse backgrounds and cultures. We are proud of our achievements and our positive 'good' Ofsted result in 2023.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner who can demonstrate outstanding practice.
- Be able to lead and manage provision for pupils with additional needs across age ranges.
- Work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for all pupils.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Be able to accurately assess children with SEND across all developmental domains to provide this information to the SENDCO for referrals of EHCPs.
- Have an understanding of the complexities, challenges and rewards of inclusion.
- Have an ability to design, implement and monitor a variety of effective interventions.
- Have a passion to make a difference for the children of Bradford.
- Have a sense of humour.
