Hays are now looking for a Quality Engineer / Performance Tester for one of our local clients: £310 p/d Inside IR35 3 days p/w in the office, 2 WFH Location is one of either London, Manchester or Leicester We're looking for strong experience in performance and non-functional testing to support the delivery of large-scale digital services.
The role will focus on ensuring applications are scalable, reliable and performant through a combination of performance testing, API testing and quality engineering practices.
What you'll be doing Design, develop and execute performance, load, stress and endurance testing activities.
Build and maintain JMeter test scripts and performance test frameworks.
Perform API testing and validate system behaviour under varying loads.
Analyse performance metrics, identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement.
Work closely with developers, architects and delivery teams to resolve performance issues.
Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated testing into delivery processes.
Monitor application performance using tools such as Grafana, Kibana or similar observability platforms.
Contribute to overall quality engineering activities including test planning, defect management and release assurance.
