Are you passionate about student wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusive education?Do you have experience in administration and SEND support within a school setting?If so, this rewarding opportunity at a welcoming secondary school in Preston could be the perfect fit for you.We are working with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Preston seeking a dedicated individual to support their medical, SEND, and safeguarding teams. This full-time temporary role involves providing first aid and medical support, maintaining accurate records, supporting pupils with medical conditions, and offering administrative assistance to the SENDCO, pastoral and safeguarding board.You will play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of students, while also contributing to the smooth running of pastoral and intervention programmes. The role also includes supporting the school's mental health initiatives and behaviour systems.This is a full time temporary role starting ASAP this September and for the right candidate could become permanent.
- Support the SENDCO with pastoral administrative tasks, including EHCP reviews, data entry, and calendaring
- Assist with safeguarding procedures, including minute-taking and secure file handling
- Coordinate with external medical professionals and parents regarding pupil health needs
- Manage and replenish first aid supplies and ensure the medical room is safe, clean, and well-organised
- Support the school's mental health and wellbeing initiatives, including logging interventions and liaising with the Mental Health Lead.
- Provide first aid and medical support to students and staff in line with school policies
- Maintain accurate records of medical incidents, medication administration, and care plans

- Experience within school administration
- Knowledge of safeguarding, SEND processes, and health & safety regulations
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information securely
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students and staff
- Commitment to promoting the welfare and wellbeing of children
- Familiarity with SIMS or similar school management systems is desirable.
