Job Description
Your new companyWe are currently resourcing on behalf of a Tier 1 contractor for an experienced Project Engineer to join a key infrastructure project based in Staffordshire. You'll be part of a forward-thinking team that's passionate about innovation, environmental impact, and engineering excellence. - Review and update temporary works designs and ensure they are implemented correctly
- Collaborate with the commissioning team to develop and review ITPs/ITFs (Inspection & Test Plans / Inspection Test Forms)
- Use Microsoft Project (MSP) and CLIP to update and manage the construction programme.
- Participate in collaborative planning sessions with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors.
- Prepare and maintain RAMS, QA checklists, and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, including progress reports and risk assessments.
What you'll need to succeed
- SSSTS (minimum), SMSTS preferred
- CSCS Card – Black preferred; Silver/Gold acceptable
- HNC or higher in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical discipline
- 5+ years' experience with Tier 1 contractors in wastewater treatment
- Strong understanding of temporary works, temporary treatment systems, and over-pumping processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including MS Project (MSP)
- Multidisciplinary experience across Mechanical and Electrical scopes
- Experience supporting buildability reviews and ITP/ITF creation
- Proven ability to manage supplier engagement from scope through to site delivery (RAMS, QA)
- Familiarity with TQ processes, RAMS preparation, programme management (CLIP), and collaborative planning
- Comfortable leading site meetings, supervising Tier 2 contractors, and supporting PM and design teams
- Competent in maintaining OWL/action trackers
