Clacton Salary - Negotiable DOE Monday-Friday days 37.5 hours per week Your new role: Based in Clacton, you will be joining a well-known manufacturing company which specialises in the design and manufacture of a range of precision-based engineering parts equipment.

The Production Manager will take full responsibility for manufacturing operations across multiple production departments, leading a large team spanning press shop, assembly, moulding, die-cast, and maintenance functions.

You will be responsible for ensuring the business consistently achieves its targets relating to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity, while helping shape and deliver the company's future operational strategy.

Responsibilities

Duties: Lead and develop manufacturing teams to achieve production, quality, and delivery objectives.

Take full accountability for health safety, customer quality, operational costs, and on-time delivery performance.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing principles and best practice methodologies.

Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support business growth and operational excellence.

Manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.

This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required.

Experience Skills needed: Significant experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role.

Proven ability to lead large production teams within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt qualification or equivalent would be highly desirable.

Experience working within ISO-accredited environments, ideally ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and operational performance management.
