Your new firm
Our client is a well-established regional law firm known for high quality work, a client-focused and inclusive culture, and strong recognition in the legal directories. We're seeking an experienced Solicitor or Associate to join their Succession & Tax team who are based in their Bath office. This exciting opportunity can be based in Bath or Bristol, with opportunities to work closely with Partners and fee earners at their other offices. You'll be joining our busy and dedicated team to look after existing clients and supporting with business development activities across the Bath region, to drive delivery of their growth strategy. The Private Client team has a significant regional presence and supports a diverse client base.
Your new role
Day to day, you will have a varied caseload, including:
- Providing tax and estate planning advice to a broad range of clients, including high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients
- Working closely with a range of clients including farmers and business owners on succession planning
- Managing complex probate and estate administration matters
- Advising on creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
- Providing advice on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection matters.
What you'll need to succeed
- You'll be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX with relevant experience including tax and estate planning, advising a broad range of clients including knowledge of high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients
- Assisting with many complex probate and estate administration matters including: creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection matters
- Exemplary client service skills and the ability to understand and meet the needs of our clients
- Ability to work alongside other teams in a holistic approach to meet the client's needs
- Good communication skills and ability to support and supervise junior members of staff
