Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their payroll team on an 8-week temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to support a large, complex organisation during a busy period, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services. The role will be based on-site and offers flexible working hours across a standard 36.25-hour working week.
Your new role
- Processing end-to-end payroll for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations
- Managing payroll calculations including salaries, overtime, allowances, statutory payments, and deductions
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements including PAYE, NIC, and pension contributions
- Handling payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely manner
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring data integrity
- Supporting payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits as required
- Working collaboratively with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues
- Assisting with process improvements and maintaining payroll best practice
