Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a leading special educational needs (SEN) school in Wirral that provides outstanding support for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). This specialist school is known for its inclusive approach, expert staff, and commitment to delivering high-quality education for students with complex needs. The school offers a safe, nurturing environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join this PMLD school on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a temporary teaching role with the strong potential to become permanent, depending on performance and fit within the team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a highly personalised and sensory-based curriculum to students with complex learning and physical needs. You will work closely with a team of teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to ensure each pupil receives a holistic and engaging education tailored to their individual needs.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Hold UK qualified teacher status
  • Have recent and relevant experience working within a classroom that we can reference
  • Have relevant experience (either personal or professional) working with SEN children
