The FirmThis is a Top 100 national law firm with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and London.The firm advises businesses across construction, energy & resource management, higher education and financial services, complementing the firm\’s market leadership within housing, local government and health & social care.They currently employ over 600 people, including over 90 Partners, and their award-winning teams provide construction, commercial, corporate, property, regulatory, employment and litigation (commercial and clinical negligence) legal advice.The Role The Planning Team has experienced significant growth over the last couple of years and that growth is set to continue, with major tender wins on high profile projects across the country.Their clients include local authorities, developers, registered providers, NHS Trusts and healthcare providers, and major corporate clients. They advise on all the issues involved in bringing sites forward for sustainable development and regeneration including negotiating planning agreements, highways and compulsory purchase advice, planning appeals, listed building and conservation areas advice, contaminated land and the defence of town green applications.This is an exciting opportunity for either an Associate/Senior Associate to join the team and to work closely with the partners.This role will involve advising clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious planning matters, including planning appeals and compulsory purchase work.
