Based in Peterborough, you will be joining the UK's leading water/clean water equipment and processing manufacturing business, who now, due to continued growth, are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their engineering team on a 12 month fixed term contract. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
- Perform refurbishment and fabrication of parts and equipment.
- Calibrate and validate instruments to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Work independently or collaboratively with qualified fitters, fabricators, welders, and electricians on larger projects.
- Quality inspection of equipment, machinery and parts. This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required.
Skills & Experience required:
- Previous experience in a similar Mechanical fitting/assembly/fabrication role.
- Experience in a similar fast-paced factory/plant environment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience and ability to use handheld machinery, equipment and tools.
- Able to work individually and/or within a team environment.
