Job Title: Pastoral Support

Location: West BromwichSalary: £95-100 a day.Contract Type: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PMStart Date: ASAPAbout Them:We are working on behalf of a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham that is committed to the wellbeing and development of every student. The school provides a nurturing environment where students are supported emotionally and behaviourally to thrive in their education.Job Description:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pastoral professional to join their lovely team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students who are experiencing behavioural challenges and may need additional help integrating into the classroom. This is not an academic role, but a vital position focused on pastoral care and emotional support.Key Responsibilities:*Support students with behavioural and emotional needs.*Help students reintegrate into classroom environments and promote positive engagement.*Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies to coordinate support.*Work closely with teaching staff to implement behaviour strategies.*Build strong relationships with students to understand their individual needs.*Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress.Requirements:*Experience working in a pastoral, behaviour support, or youth work role within an educational setting.*Strong understanding of the social and emotional needs of young people.*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.*Calm, empathetic, and solution-focused approach to behaviour management.*Passion for supporting young people and promoting inclusion.*Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.*All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
