An excellent opportunity has arisen with a well-loved West Yorkshire law firm for a paralegal with 6 months of strong Defendant EL/PL experience. This role would be based in my client\’s Bradford office.Candidates of interest for this position would be anyone with previous claims handling experience from a defendant PI/RTA background, or alternatively a law graduate with a keen interest in the personal injury sector. My client is prepared to invest in the successful candidate by providing all required training and this is a role where the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience of managing cases under the supervision of an experienced team.Any candidate who has experience of using the MOJ EL/PL portal will be of particular interest to my client for this role as it will involve conducting the defence of claims from origin up to but not including litigation. This will involve conversing via telephone and in writing with a variety of third parties including opponents, experts and other ad-hoc bodies. Negotiation will be a key aspect of this role as you address questions on liability and quantum and provide excellent customer service to existing and potential clients.This opportunity comes with a competitive salary along with additional benefits, which include over 25 days\’ annual leave (plus statutory holidays with the option to purchase additional holiday), pension, private medical insurance and other significant benefits that can provide extra security and comfort.
