Your new company Hays Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Painter Decorator to join a busy social housing maintenance contract covering properties throughout Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled painter looking for long-term, consistent work carrying out planned and responsive decorating works within tenanted and voided social housing properties.

Your new role As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Internal and external painting and decorating works
  • Preparing surfaces including filling, sanding and making good
  • Emulsion and gloss painting
  • Decorating void and occupied properties
  • Carrying out minor repairs prior to painting
  • Ensuring work is completed to a high standard
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Providing excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience as a Painter Decorator
  • Experience working within social housing, domestic maintenance or property repairs
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Good knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
  • Own tools required
