Your new company
A well established organisation operating across the UK and Ireland is continuing to expand its high street and commercial estate. Due to ongoing growth and new site openings, they are strengthening their Facilities team and are now seeking experienced painters to support sites primarily across London and the South of England.
Your new role
As a Painter, you will be responsible for the maintenance of existing sites as well as the fitting out of new locations. This is a mobile, home based role covering Greater London, with regular travel and occasional travel further afield within the UK and Ireland.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out all aspects of painting and decorating across commercial environments
- Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes
- Preparing surfaces, including stripping old paint, filling cracks, sanding, and washing walls
- Measuring work areas and calculating materials and time required
- Selecting appropriate tools, materials, and finishes for each task
- Mixing and colour matching paints to achieve the required finishes
- Protecting surrounding areas, fixtures, and furniture prior to work
- Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas
- Reinstating areas on completion of works
- Working alongside other trades such as electricians, plumbers, and joiners
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure work is completed to specification
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety on site
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Painter / Decorator
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- CSCS
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to travel regularly across London and occasionally further afield
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in commercial or facilities environments
- Dry lining, taping and jointing experience
- Ability to complete basic paperwork such as risk assessments
- Willingness to support other trades when required on site
