We are currently looking for an experienced Painter Decorator to join a local council team working across social housing properties in Nottinghamshire. This is an ongoing contract offering consistent work and competitive hourly rates.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating works, alongside supporting damp and mould treatment programmes within occupied and void properties.
Your new role
- Carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works
- Surface preparation including sanding, filling, and priming
- Treatment and prevention of damp and mould issues
- Working within occupied and vacant social housing properties
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health safety regulations
- Providing excellent customer service when working in residents' homes
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Painter Decorator (essential)
- Experience working within social housing or local authority environments preferred
- Knowledge or experience of damp and mould treatment desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
