Your new role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative horticultural and grounds maintenance across the site.
Hours: 07:30 - 16:30
Start Date: 8th June
Pay: £12.71- £16.71 p/hr, paid via PAYE or Umbrella. We do not pay CIS.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining grassed areas using tractors, ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, and strimmers
- Carrying out weed control, including spot spraying
- Supporting winter activities such as gritting
- Clearing litter, leaves, and debris, and keeping drains and gullies free from blockages
- Undertaking low-level tree pruning
- Completing reactive maintenance tasks and reporting defects
- Safely disposing of waste materials
- Assisting with porterage, deliveries, and basic handyperson tasks (e.g., painting)
- Maintaining accurate QHSE and site records
- Escorting contractors and visitors when required
- Always adhering to health and safety policies and safe working practices
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role
- Ability to safely operate ground maintenance equipment
