Your new company
/n A leading civil engineering contractor is delivering a major highways improvement scheme in Norfolk. The project includes significant earthworks, drainage, highway construction and associated infrastructure works aimed at improving traffic flow, reducing congestion and enhancing journey reliability on a key section of the strategic road network.

Your new role
/n As Section Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a section of earthworks, drainage and highways works from planning through to delivery.
/n
Key duties will include:
/n
/n
- Managing and coordinating site engineering activities
/n
- Leading and mentoring Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers
/n
- Reviewing drawings and raising technical queries
/n
- Producing lookahead programmes and monitoring progress
/n
- Managing temporary works requirements
/n
- Producing ITPs and quality documentation
/n
- Maintaining accurate site records and supporting commercial activities
/n
- Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are followed
/n
- Working closely with subcontractors, designers and client representatives
/n
- Driving high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance
/n

What you'll need to succeed
/n
/n
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
/n
- Previous experience as a Section Engineer on highways or major infrastructure projects
/n
- Strong background in earthworks, drainage and general civil engineering works
/n
- Knowledge of temporary works, construction sequencing and programme management
/n
- Ability to manage and develop junior engineering staff
/n
- SMSTS and relevant Health & Safety training
/n
- Valid CSCS Card
/n
