Hays Education is seeking passionate, patient and adaptable SEN Supply Teachers to support specialist and mainstream SEN provisions across Northamptonshire. Whether you're an experienced SEN practitioner or looking to transition into the sector, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility to choose when and where you work.

What You'll Do:

  • Teach and support pupils with diverse additional needs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, SLD/MLD, PMLD, and complex learning difficulties
  • Adapt and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP outcomes
  • Use a range of communication approaches (e.g., visual supports, PECS, Makaton - desirable)
  • Support emotional regulation using strategies aligned with each pupil's profile
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and the SENCO
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment
  • Record progress and report safeguarding concerns promptly to the DSL

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN across any age group (EYFS-Post 16) - school, specialist, or care-based experience considered
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practice, behaviour support and differentiated teaching
  • A flexible, resilient and compassionate approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils who may have communication or behavioural needs
